Born and raised in Oklahoma City, Dr. Michael Elder's journey in medicine began with a strong foundation in academics and a passion for learning. As the valedictorian of Putnam City High School, he demonstrated exceptional intelligence and dedication to his studies. His pursuit of excellence led him to the University of Denver, where he graduated with honors, earning membership in the prestigious Phi Beta Kappa society. During his undergraduate years, Dr. Elder's ingenuity and scientific curiosity were evident when he constructed a fully functional laser as part of his coursework in physics.
Driven by a desire to make a difference in healthcare, Dr. Elder returned to his roots in Oklahoma to pursue his medical education at the University of Oklahoma, College of Medicine. It was during this time that his interest in anesthesiology and the cardiovascular system blossomed. His residency training in anesthesiology provided him with a solid foundation in patient care and medical expertise, laying the groundwork for his future career endeavors.
Dr. Elder's career took a significant turn in 1995 when he encountered a group of anesthesiologists practicing venous sclerotherapy. Intrigued by the potential of this innovative treatment, he immersed himself in the field, exploring new avenues for improving patient care. Dr. Elder's pioneering spirit led him to embrace laser technology as a powerful tool for addressing various medical conditions, including venous insufficiency and unwanted hair growth. His introduction of the first ruby laser for hair removal to Oklahoma City marked a milestone in the field of aesthetic medicine, establishing Advanced Aesthetics as a premier destination for cutting-edge treatments.
As the founder and long-term medical director of Advanced Aesthetics, Dr. Elder has played a pivotal role in shaping the practice's reputation for excellence and innovation. Amber Mangan is a highly skilled Registered Nurse with over 10 years of experience as an aesthetic provider. She began her educational journey at Northeastern State University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Cellular Biology. Pursuing her passion for healthcare, she continued her education at the University of Oklahoma's Accelerated Nursing program, earning her second bachelor's degree.
Amber is currently advancing her career by studying to become a Nurse Practitioner at Texas Woman's University. She holds specialty certifications in a variety of laser and injectable treatments, enabling her to perform a comprehensive range of aesthetic services at Advanced Aesthetics. Amber has a particular love for facial balancing and skin rejuvenation, focusing on achieving natural-looking, effective results for her patients.

Hi there! I’m Lauren Williams, a dedicated licensed esthetician with over three years of experience and an associate’s degree in arts. I specialize in Dermaplaning, Hydrafacials, and chemical peels, and I’m passionate about helping others feel confident in their own skin. I love learning about skincare products, their ingredients, and how they benefit different skin concerns, and I take pride in educating others on how to properly maintain or improve their skin health.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, going to concerts & arts festivals, and watching movies. I also love spending time outdoors, especially riding my bike or going for a run around Hefner. At home, I share my life with my wonderful boyfriend of six years and our two beloved cats.

Sunni Joy Batten is a Registered Nurse with a strong background in health, patient care, and aesthetics. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from the University of Oklahoma and later graduated with distinction from the University of Oklahoma’s Accelerated Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing program.
Prior to her nursing career, Sunni proudly served in the United States Air National Guard as a Sergeant. Her time in the Air Force instilled a strong sense of discipline, service, and teamwork, as well as a passion for building bonds within the community.
Sunni began her nursing career working in a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where she developed exceptional attention to detail, precision, and a calm approach under pressure. These skills seamlessly translated into her work in medical aesthetics.
In her aesthetic career, Sunni specializes in injectable and laser treatments, combining her clinical expertise with an artistic eye to deliver safe, natural, and effective results. As a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, she brings advanced training and a commitment to continuing her education to ensure her patients always receive the safest and most innovative treatments available. Her philosophy centers on collaboration by listening closely to her patients’ goals and enhancing their natural features with subtle, customized treatments.
Outside of her work, Sunni enjoys spending time with her calico cat, Cherub, exploring local businesses, and traveling for concerts where she can recharge and enjoy live music.

Her background as an ICU nurse gives her a deep understanding of anatomy and a calm demeanor. She ensures each treatment is safe, meticulous and tailored to the individual.
In college at the University of Missouri- Kansas City, Katie competed as a Division I NCAA athlete and received multiple athletic and academic accolades. While competing as an athlete, she attended nursing school and graduated with her Bachelor's of Science in Nursing with Magna Cum Laude. Katie has been working in aesthetics for two years and has cultivated a patient-first approach. She is passionate about prevention and considers herself a sunscreen fanatic. In her free time, you will find Katie reading, traveling the world with her husband, cheering on Chief's football or playing with her three fur babies. Her commitment to excellence, combined with her artistic eye and clinical knowledge, makes her an invaluable part of our team.

As the Patient Care Coordinator at Advanced Aesthetics, Cate is committed to delivering an exceptional and seamless client experience from the first point of contact to post-treatment follow-up. Her warm, approachable demeanor helps clients feel comfortable, confident and cared for throughout their aesthetic journey. Cate is known for building genuine connections and bringing empathy, attentiveness and insight to every interaction. She ensures each client receives personalized support tailored to their individual goals and finds joy in helping others look and feel their very best.
Outside of her role at Advanced Aesthetics, Cate is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of K&C Investment Group, where she channels her creativity and business acumen into real estate design and home renovation projects alongside her husband, Kendal. When she’s not working, Cate enjoys attending and volunteering at her local Life.Church, cheering on the OU Sooners and OKC Thunder, supporting her teenage daughter at softball games, chasing her two energetic toddlers around and pursuing her passion for personal growth and development.
