What Is KYBELLA®?
KYBELLA® is an injectable treatment that removes submental fat — or fat found under your chin — with a series of injections. These injections use a synthetic form of the active ingredient deoxycholic acid, which is an acid naturally found in the stomach.
Deoxycholic acid helps the body absorb and break down fat cells. When injected into the submental fat, KYBELLA® noticeably and permanently reduces the appearance of fullness under the chin.

How KYBELLA® Works at Advanced Aesthetics
First, you’ll need to schedule a consultation with one of our medical providers to ensure that KYBELLA® is right for you. During this first appointment, make sure you let us know if you’ve had trouble swallowing or breathing or if you’re pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant.
Once we understand your goals and decide on a treatment plan, your treatment will begin. Our medical professional will map out the injections on your chin with a marker and inject lidocaine to ensure minimal discomfort.
After that, we’ll inject KYBELLA® under your chin. The whole process usually takes less than an hour.
Since everyone has unique needs and different cosmetic goals, the results after each treatment will vary. You’ll likely need anywhere from two to four treatments to get optimal results. Typically, we’ll schedule these treatments at least one month apart.
How Long Will My KYBELLA® Treatment Last?
One of the greatest things about KYBELLA® is that it’s a permanent solution to unwanted fat under your chin.
After we’ve injected your KYBELLA® treatment, the deoxycholic acid permanently breaks down and removes the fat cells so that they can no longer store or accumulate fat. Once you reach your desired goals, you’ll rarely need further treatment.
